Xerxes- Our Home is a Deathbed
This was perhaps one of the most hyped hardcore releases at the turn of the year. And with good reason, it's rather great. This will be the year of Skramz as it seems with early releases form this band, Loma Pretia, and The Saddest Landscape ruling really hard. Rather then be all hard and fast all the time,  like any other hardcore album worth listening to it moves around a lot. There are a lot of beautiful guitar harmonies and  if I can so on a limb, I'll say these dudes are huge fans of Funeral Diner/ Pianos Become The Teeth. I say that because they play vein of classic screamo/ hardcore with some nearly post-rock/progressive builds but still manage to contain these in songs that hardly go over two minutes sometimes. In a lot of ways this band reminds me of a more interesting Touche Amore (no disrespect, I still enjoy them) but if you dig Touche then this band and this album is a must.
7.8/10
For fans of: Touche Amore// Funeral Diner// Pianos Become The Teeth

It's a leak so no spotify or bandcamp.
